Bunny Zoe's # 19

Forgot about this card.  I had seen a shutter card on Debby's blog, which was really gorgeous, and remembered I had bought a pack some time ago from Whichcraft.  Thought it would be perfect for my snowman soup verse and image.  Although it was put together very quickly as Hollie was sick and it wasn't finished the way I had in mind and I didn't get a chance to make the topper for the bag of snowman soup either.

I am entering my card into Bunny Zoe's Monthly Challenge # 19 - Fancy Folds/Shaped Card

Was disappointed that I couldn't get the proper striped candy canes this year.

Sophie gave these to her friend along with this cracker from Whichcraft and her present.  I always like to add a few items like these to make it more personal.

Thanks for popping by and Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2012.

Five Favourite Cards of 2011

I was unable to join in with Debby's five favourite Christmas cards for 2011, but here are my five favourite cards from 2011 for Debby's New Years Eve challenge.

This card is from March.  Love the Echo Park papers and one of the first Sugar Nellie stamps I purchased.

This card is from April.  Again Echo Park papers and I love this Sarah Kay image.

This card is from May.  Love the clour combination and such a sweet Manga image from Sugar Nellie.

This card is from July.  Love the papers, think they are MME and great image from Kenny K.

This card is also from July.  Think this is my favourite card.  The image is from Stampavie and is so cute.

Thanks for the challenge Debby and Happy New Year to you and your family and best wishes for 2011.

Simon Says Stamp, Crimbo Crackers # 5, Stampin' For The Weekend # 23 and My Mum's Craft Shop # 37

Thought I would pop by and share the cards that I made for my two brothers and their families for Christmas.

Unfortunately on the Thursday before Christmas, Hollie came down with a bug and was sick until Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day Shannon was sick.  The rest of us have so far escaped it.  Every year Hollie is always sick at Christmas, either with a cold or a bug and one year she even had chicken-pox.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and Santa brought some lovely presents.  I got a pair of ghd hair straighteners and an ipod touch and tickets for Westlife.  Said I wasn't going to go this year, even though it was their last concert, but hubby bought them as a surprise for me and the girls.  He said I haven't missed any of their concerts yet and I wasn't going to miss out this year.

I am entering my cards into four challenges:-

Stampin' For The Weekend # 23 - Anything Goes

Papertake Weekly, Samuel Taylors, Colour Create # 85, Moving Along With The Times

Just a quick post from me tonight.  Been really busy helping hubby in shop and have had Sophie off school last week for revision for her mock GCSE exams this week.  She only has two mornings and one half day to go in this week and then that is her until January.

Didn't get the inside finished so will upload it later.  Didn't want to miss the deadline for The Sugar Bowl.

Have ran out of the paper that I stamp my images onto and I am using a new pad that I got in Eason's, not to bad but seems to curl/bend if you use a lot of stickles.  The previous pad I used was from The Paper Mill and it was really good and cheaper. Any suggestions on paper for using with Distress Inks.

Got a lovely surprise on Monday when I went to comment on Debby's card and noticed I had won her candy.  It arrived this morning and is really gorgeous and look forward to using the stamps, ribbon and pearls.  Thanks again Debby.

Thanks for popping by and I will be round to visit your blogs later tonight after Girls Brigade.

These are some of Shannon's formal photographs from Wednesday night.  She looked beautiful and Matthew scrubbed up well too. He is our neighbour and is like a brother to the girls.  They had a great night. Thank goodness the formals are now over, can now relax and start to think about Christmas.

Thanks for popping by, your comments are always appreciated.  Off to Belfast shopping today with the girls, although not sure if we are wise as the MTV Music Awards are on Sunday night and it will be very busy.  Then again, you never know who we might spot out shopping.  Hollie has her camera with her just in case. Enjoy your weekend.

A Gem of a Challenge # 33, Pollycraft Monday # 117, Papertake Weekly, Dream Valley # 19, Simon Says Stamp

Another card to share tonight.

Took Hollie back to the hospital today for her follow-up appointment and they said that her finger is starting to heal, although it was a very nasty break. Have to take her back again in two weeks and I asked if she could be seen at our local hospital and thankfully they said yes.  An 80 mile round trip just to sit in a waiting room, then get an x-ray and wait a while longer just for a one minute consultation.

Anyway, I am entering my card into five challenges:-

A Gem of a Challenge # 33 - Cold and Frosty (if it doesn't fit the challenge, please delete)
Pollycraft Monday # 117 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (had followed the sketch from last week's challenge but didn't get it entered in time)
Dream Valley # 19 - Anything Goes (second entry)
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes (second entry)

Here are photographs from Sophie's second school formal. Definitely a costly night out and she had TWO of them.  Her other formal photographs are on my previous post. Shannon's formal is on Wednesday night, so will show these hopefully over the weekend.

Had a busy house that night as all the other parents were there as well as both sets of grandparents.  The limo driver had fun trying to get to our house with so many cars parked in the street. Anyway she had a great night and she looked beautiful.

Thanks for popping by, as your comments are always appreciated.  Think I got caught up last night with all my commenting. Apologies again for not being around recently.
