Thought I would share a few photographs that I took at Belfast Zoo on Sunday.

Sophie with a bearded dragon lizard.  She was scared when it started to walk up her arms.

Shannon holding the same lizard

Hollie sitting on the wooden carved spider.

They were also letting you hold a tarantula spider and a snake but the girls or us weren't brave enought for that.

Couldn't believe how quickly they ate their lettuce, definitely put my girls to shame as they are very slow and picky eaters.

Thanks for popping by, it is much appreciated and sorry for the long post.

Friday Sketchers # 137 and Lily of the Valley # 80

Back today with a card I finished yesterday, although it was to dark to take a photograph.  The photograph isn't much better today as it is very sunny and it seems to be reflecting badly.

Anyway, first of all, hello to my two new followers, Sj and Kezzy.  Thanks very much for popping by and thanks to everyone for the lovely comments.

I am entering my card into two challenges :-
Lily of the Valley # 80 - Things with wings (thought this new dandelion clock image would suit)
Friday Sketchers # 137 (Had to move the sentiment, as it didn't look right, hope that is ok)

I don't usually do a close-up photograph  as it shows all my flaws but as the main one hasn't turned out very well, I have taken this one as well.

Update on our shop - Still not open, landlord not going to fix the shop, so we have been offered better premises in the same area and I think we are going to move there.  Finished itemising all the stock that we lost and are not waiting on the loss adjuster to come out and inspect and check everything.  Hopefully this week sometime and we can maybe open by the end of the month.

Thanks for popping by, hope everyone is well and getting some crafting done.

Mojo Monday 156 and Papertake Weekly

Had quite a busy week, so not much time for crafting.  Hubby back at work after time off with the shingles and not a great patient. Had to catch up on housework,  lots of homework for my daughters (my eldest is not enjoying AS English Literature) and Sunday School and Girls Brigade all started back this week. I help out with the Tinies section at Girls Brigade and taught P6 at Sunday School for the last three years, although this year I am now doing P2/P3.  Had some free time last night as my eldest daughter Shannon had her first shift at work from 6 - 9.30pm, my second daughter Sophie was at a friends house and having a sleepover and my youngest daughter Hollie was playing with her friend in her room.  I thought I would have some me time and a bit of crafting, as hubby was watching television and then trying to organise a weekend to Oulton Park for the motorbike races.  Had an idea in my head how this would work out, didn't quite happen that way, but I am pleased with the end result, I think. It is a long time since I have made an easel card and  I really do like this style of card.
I am entering my card into Mojo Monday 156 - Follow Sketch and Papertake Weekly - Picture Inspiration (I went for the colours turquoise, pink and purple, although I added black, so I hope that is ok).
Cardstock - Bazzill
Patterned Paper - Bo Bunny Sophie
Stamp - Elzybells (I purchased this at half price, but it is now further reduced)
Calendar - Paper Mill Shop
Ribbon - Doodlebug
Ric Rac - Doodlebug
Inpads - Versa Cubes
Flowers - Acccessorize
I was going to place the calendar on the top part of the card and a post- it  pad with a pen on the bottom part but the calendar was to big, so I made it just a calendar card. Will try this idea with a smaller stamped image and maybe it will work. When I was reading through the sentiment stamp, I realised I had missed the last line, so I stamped it on its own  and layered it.

Thanks for popping by, hope you have a nice weekend.  Weather here wet as usual and quite cold. We missed summer, now looks like we are going to miss Autumn too.

Sketch Saturday # 116

Just a short post today.  Started this card on Wednesday evening but couldn't get a sentiment to suit.  Spent most of yesterday still thinking what to put.  Came up with 'Just Cruising', don't know if it is appropriate or not.  Then  I got a little carried away and started to add little flower rub-ons to the car and sentiment and some extra gems in the corners of the card and image. I am entering this card into Sketch Saturday # 116.

Thanks for popping by.  Was at  'The Bushmills Distillery' this morning (9.30am) for a guided tour to see how their famous Whiskey is made.  Back home for lunch and now we are either heading to the Zoo or Dundonald Ice Bowl for the girls to go ice - skating.
