This is a card I made this morning for the Sugar Bowl Challenge 35 using a sketch by Marlene.
I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a card made in time, as I have been enjoying my other hobby last week, which was watching motorbike racing. It was our local North West 200 road races. There are practices on Tuesday and Thursday, with races on Saturday. There are also stunt shows, vintage cars, vintage bikes and customs bikes as well. This year we also had the Continental Market. A fun-filled week was had and now its back to the usual routines, etc.Anyway onto my card.
Papers are Die Cuts with a View - Jewel Cardstock
Brads are Doodlebug
Shopping Sticker is from a Scrapbook Kit from K & Co called Sparkly Sweet
Time Brad was one that I have had for a long time in my stash and never knew what to do with it. So Shopping Time seemed appropriate for this card.
Image is Sugar Nellie - Shopaholic
Coloured with Distress Inks
I cut the circles out with my Fiskars circle cutter, which I think I have only used once or twice.
Punched flowers are with Woodware punches using scraps left over from the circles.
Cut around my image with scissors and a craft knife. First time I have actually tried this, not sure if I will try it again. Would probably need better scissors and a sharper blade for my craft knife. Didn't cut all the handles on the bags as it was a bit fiddly and was scared that they would tear.
Theme for the challenge was recycling. Flowers are from leftover pieces of card, shopping sticker was left over from scrapbook kit that was finished and ribbon is taken from a piece of clothing. Not sure if this applies but will enter card anyway as it follows the sketch.
Thanks for looking and have a nice day.
