A Gem of a Challenge # 14

Thought I would post a card that I made yesterday.  My brothers wife had a baby girl on Tuesday morning at 3.36am weighing 11 lb 4 oz.  A baby sister for Eva who is 3 next month.

Has been an up and down sort of couple of days.  Good news on the safe arrival of my new niece who I am going to visit this weekend as children aren't allowed in to visit at the hospital and I didn't want to go and the girls not get to see her but then sad news when I later heard two little girls that I know at GB and Sunday School, their mum ended her life on Monday night.  Hard to get your head around something like that.

Anyway onto my card : -

I am entering into just the one challenge :-

A Gem of A Challenge # 14 - Follow sketch

Cardblank - Craftwork Cards
Cardstock- Bazzill
Patterned Papers - K & Co
Nestabilities
Gems - Mei Flower
Image - Pink Gem Digi
Computer Generated Sentiment
Verse from Internet

I didn't have any baby images and was going to buy a card when I remembered I had this digi image from Pink Gem so thought I would try a digi again.  Still think I prefer stamps or maybe I just need more practice.

Going out now to collect Shannon from work and then I think I will have an early night as hubby is out at a meeting and won't be back til late.

Thanks for popping by and hope you all have a good weekend.

Very cute card! This image is great for a new baby.
Heard the new arrival is gorgeous and just like her daddy and that big sister Eva is enjoying her new role.
I'm sure it's hard getting your head around the other news especially when you see the wee girls in GB.

congrats on your new neice :) Thats fabulous news, and what a fab card to go with it. Its a very cute image (i have never seen this before) and you have made it very special. I love how you do your inside of your cards too!

I too wouldnt be able to comprehend your sad news, but my dad once told me that sometimes the world just stops being beautiful for some people, and life is just too hard to face. But Its so sad for the little ones, my heart goes out to them.

Wow a beautiful baby niece to play with. The card is gorgeous, I love baby cards as you can use really soft or bright colours. How awful about those girls mum, life isn't fair. I lost my dad at 5 but to loose a mum must be awful, I think I would find it hard to get out of my head.
Take care
